Lingoda’s 23/24 New Year’s campaign celebrated the joy of progress: those everyday moments when language learning clicks. From ordering at a bakery to nailing a job interview, every win mattered.
In close collaboration with the Design Lead, I led the system building and execution of the campaign from concept through rollout, delivering 384 assets across multiple languages, funnel stages, and channels.

The creative challenge

The challenge was not only to make language progress feel emotional and human, but to turn one campaign idea into a scalable system across multiple markets, localized languages, paid campaigns, social content, CRM, and other marketing touchpoints without losing consistency.

That meant designing for both creative impact and production scale, with 384 assets adapted across channels, formats, and audiences.

The concept

The core idea was on making progress feel tangible and personal, showing that each small step builds confidence. To bring the concept to life, we chose to feature real Lingoda students from across Europe in a photoshoot and video series in Berlin. That helped us to create a campaign that felt authentic, diverse, and truly inspiring.

From creative idea to production system

To scale the campaign, I translated the Language Wins concept into a production system built around reusable key visuals, modular layouts, copy blocks, image components, and channel-specific templates.

Instead of designing each asset one by one, the Figma file worked as a source of truth for the rollout. Master templates handled the core visual structure, while components allowed quick updates across markets, languages, formats, and messages. This made localization faster, reduced manual rework, and kept the campaign consistent across a high-volume rollout.

Figma System Structure

I built the Figma file as a system, not as a collection of separate assets. The base was made of reusable components for copy, imagery, layout blocks, and campaign variations, so each asset could be adapted by channel, market, language, and message without rebuilding everything from scratch.

This made the rollout much easier to handle. Translation updates, copy changes, image swaps, and market-specific edits could be made from the component level and pushed across the asset set. It reduced manual work, avoided inconsistencies, and gave the team one clear source of truth for the full campaign.

Built for performance tests & iterations

Once the system was in place, assets could be quickly adjusted by hook, offer, audience, channel, and format, giving the growth and marketing teams more flexibility to test without breaking the campaign structure.

The value of the system was not only speed. It gave the team a cleaner way to collaborate, review, localize, export, and iterate on-the-go during the rollout and when the campaign was already live.

A few of the performance changes made while the campaign was live:
• The growth team requested a new set of 10 retargeting images highlighting the product, which were rolled out quickly in the same working day by using the campaign system.

Increase on the discount (from 30% to 35%) which were quickly replaced in the components, being automatically adjusted in all campaign assets.

“Final call” badge added on the last 2 weeks of the campaign to push transactions. A placeholder badge had been set in the component system and was quickly updated with the requested copy, allowing the delivery of the new assets on the same working day.

Briefing Deep-Dive & Brainstorming Sessions

I started with an immersion into the brief: target audiences, markets, goals, and deliverables, alongside a review of past New Year campaigns and researching the competition. We then ran three focused brainstorming sessions in Miro using mind mapping, resulting in 3 clearly differentiated concepts, each backed by a clear insight.

Concepts Pitch

We pitched 3 concepts with different angles: one focused on student empowerment, one celebrating individual unique personalities, and the selected direction focusing on real students, the real impact of 102k+ lives changed. Each concept was presented with a description, moodboards, and draft social media mockups to help the stakeholders' decision-making.

Photoshoot & Polishing

The photoshoot took place in Berlin under the direction of the Design Lead and Brand VP, featuring 11 real Lingoda students from across Europe and capturing both stills and video. Using the final photography, we refined the assets by testing layout variations, balancing typography with imagery, and retouching visuals in Photoshop to guarantee consistency and quality across formats.

Campaign Rollout

I rolled out 384 assets across multiple digital channels, formats, and language variations. This large-scale delivery was possible by a structured two-day campaign setup in Figma, where I defined components, workflows, and a clear folder system for translations, allowing quick updates and batch exporting in minutes.
